🔒 Core Privacy Commitment

Our application does NOT collect personal identification information (such as your name, email address, phone number, or contacts), does NOT sell user data, and contains ZERO third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.

1. Information We Access & Collect

To provide accurate prayer time calculations, notification reminders, and Qibla direction indicators, our App requests access to specific device features and permissions:

Location Data (Precise & Coarse Location):
Permissions requested: ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION.
Usage: Your device's geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) are accessed solely to calculate precise daily prayer times (Fajr, Sunrise, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha) for your current position and to determine the accurate Qibla angle pointing toward Makkah. Location calculations occur locally on your device or via secure API queries. Location data is never stored on external servers or linked to your personal identity.
Notifications & Reminders:
Permissions requested: POST_NOTIFICATIONS, SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM.
Usage: Required to schedule and deliver pre-Adhan warning alerts, prayer time notifications, and Suhoor alarms. All notifications are scheduled locally on your device.
Network Access:
Permissions requested: INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE.
Usage: Used to fetch city names during location searches, retrieve updated monthly prayer schedules from the public Aladhan REST API, and verify network connectivity.

2. How We Use Information

The information accessed by the App is strictly used for the following operational purposes:

Calculating exact daily prayer schedules based on chosen calculation methods and juristic preferences (Madhab).
Displaying the Qibla compass direction using on-device magnetometer/orientation sensors.
Scheduling local notification alerts and Suhoor alarms.
Saving your selected city preferences locally in your device's internal application storage.

3. Data Sharing & Third-Party Services

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your data with any third parties for marketing or commercial purposes. The App integrates with the following trusted open/technical services strictly for calculation purposes:

Batoul Apps Adhan Engine: An open-source, on-device calculation library used for offline astronomical prayer time computation. No data is transmitted externally by this engine.
Aladhan REST API: Used over secure encrypted HTTPS connections to retrieve public prayer calendar data and city geocoding parameters. Queries sent to the API contain only spatial coordinates or city names required for calculation and do not contain personal identifiers.

4. Data Storage & User Control

All application preferences, saved cities, and notification settings are stored locally on your device using Android's encrypted Room database. You retain full control over your data:

You can add, edit, or delete saved cities at any time within the Locations screen.
You can revoke Location or Notification permissions at any time through your Android device's System Settings > Apps > Prayer Times > Permissions.
Clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App permanently removes all stored preferences from your device.

5. Children's Privacy

Our application is suitable for general audiences of all ages (Content Rating: Everyone 3+). We do not knowingly collect, request, or solicit any personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in certain jurisdictions).

6. Security

We prioritize the security of your information. All external API requests are performed over encrypted SSL/TLS (HTTPS) connections. Because we do not maintain user accounts or central databases containing personal information, your risk of data exposure is minimized.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy periodically to reflect app updates or regulatory changes. Any modifications will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date."
